Content

Leitmotif is a concept album about a man to whom a ghost appears, who reveals to him that he is suffering from a mental illness. The protagonist has to visit different cultures around the world in order to reach a higher spiritual level and so to cure his disease. Will he do so, he will continue to develop, if not, he will die. The written by bassist Drew Roulette story is reprinted in contrast to the lyrics in the booklet. The lyrics of the songs occasionally quote from the story, but do not follow it word for word.

The album has a basic theme to change. It's about the personal change of the main character in a religious perspective and the constant change of his residence. In the booklet, a symbol is displayed, which is derived from the Chinese characters for Exchange, which also serves as a "title " for the first song of the album.

On the album are, alternately, 5 normal songs and 5 are ' Movements, each of which describes a change in location of the story.

The individual songs fall into each other and share tunes that are played in different musical styles. To include the songs - depending on the location of the protagonists - Asian-inspired melodies as well as jazz influences and oppressive jams.

The title should really be called Lechium Le'chium or Le'chiem, but was written due to a misunderstanding without the apostrophe.
