Leland Orser

Leland Orser ( born August 6, 1960 in San Francisco, California) is an American actor.

Life

Orser gave his debut in 1990 in the television series Chicago Soul. Thereafter, further followed by guest appearances in series such as The Golden Girls and Cheers. Making his first appearance in a feature film had Orser in 1995 in a small supporting role in the thriller Seven starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. After further roles in Independence Day and John Carpenter's Escape from LA 1997 Orser starred in Alien - The Rebirth alongside Sigourney Weaver a kidnapped by space pirates colonists, the for breeding an alien was employed. Other roles embodied Orser in The Bone Collector, starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie as well as in Resurrection - The Resurrection on the side of Christopher Lambert.

As a television actor Orser has appeared in series. In the hospital drama ER, he played for the 11th season, the supporting role of the surgeon Dr. Lucien Dubenko, in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager ( 1997), a confused and criminal holographic character.

His friend, the director David Cronenberg, named as a token of appreciation in his film A History of Violence, the two killer Leland Jones and William Orser.

Leland Orser is probably the only actor who has brought in serial killer movies all the roles behind. After he starred in " Seven" a victim, he slipped in 1999 in "Resurrection" in the role of an officer in search of serial killer Robert Joy, only to slip even in the same year in " The Bone Collector " in the role of the offender.

Since 2000, he is married to the actress Jeanne Tripplehorn, with whom he had a son together (* 2002).
