Jeanne Tripplehorn

Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn ( born June 10, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma ) is an American actress.

Life and career

After graduating from high school Jeanne Tripplehorn worked under the name " Jeanie Summers " as a DJ at the radio station KMOD in Tulsa. From the early 1990s, she appeared as an actress in film and television in appearance and has held major roles in Basic Instinct (1992) and The Company ( 1993), in which Gene Hackman and Tom Cruise were her screen partner. In 1995 he was the lead female role alongside Kevin Costner in the hitherto most expensive film Waterworld (1995). End of the 2000s, their steady been successful for her television work. The main role in the drama series Big Love, in which she was the wife of a polygamist ( played by Bill Paxton ) to see her brought in 2006 and 2007, two Satellite Award nominations. 2009 her portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the TV movie Grey Gardens with an Emmy nomination was rewarded. Since 2012, she is seen in a lead role of the series Criminal Minds.

Tripplehorn is married to fellow actor Leland Orser since 14 October 2000 and has a son with him.
