Lemar ( born April 4, 1978 in Tottenham, London Lemar Obika as ) is an igbo - British R & B singer.

Career

Lemar began his career opening for Usher and Destiny 's Child. Nevertheless, he has long been ignored and only slowly built its reputation on. An already signed by him major label contract was terminated because of internal restructuring of Label side. His breakthrough finally succeeded in 2002 with the participation in the talent show Fame Academy of the British BBC television.

On 18 April 2005, Lemar from his album "Time to Grow ", the single " If There 's Any Justice". On 25 April 2005 appeared "Time to Grow " in Germany at Sony BMG. On 4 September 2006 then appeared the new single " It's Not That Easy" from their third album "The Truth About Love " (published September 19 ) in England.

In April and May 2007 Lemar has been seen in Germany live as a " Special Guest " by Beyoncé Knowles.

Today Lemar is one of the most famous European RnB stars, although typically draw the most attention, the U.S. artist. Lemar is provided by critics on a par with other internationally renowned UK acts such as Jamelia.
