Lena Endre

Lena Endre ( born July 8, 1955 in Lidingö ) is a Swedish actress. She grew up in the community Tyresö in Härnösand and Trollbäcken.

Since 2000 she is married to the director Richard Hobert. She has two children from a previous marriage with the Swedish actor Thomas Hanzon.

After high school she studied marine biology for several months, but broke off his studies. After her studies at the Theater School in Stockholm (1983 ), she was known for her continuous lead role in the television series Varuhuset ( The Warehouse ) ( 1987-88 ). In 1987, she accepted an engagement at the Royal Dramatic Theatre ( Dramaten ), whose ensemble she listened to today. Their first theater work with Ingmar Bergman was Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night (1988). This was followed by Solveig in Peer Gynt (1991 ), Marie Steuber in Time and the Room (1993) and Elizabeth in Mary Stuart ( 2000).

In Germany it was, inter alia, known in their roles as Erika Berger in the Stieg Larsson films blindness, condemnation and forgiveness as well as the prosecutor Katarina Ahlsell in the second season of Wallander with Krister Henriksson adaptations.

In 1997 she received the Best Supporting Actress in Bille August Jerusalem the Swedish Film Award Guldbagge and again in 2000 for The unfaithful. For music for weddings and funerals, she was awarded in 2002 with the Norwegian Film Award Amanda. Along with her co-star Mikael Nyqvist they won the 2004 Silver Hugo Award at the Chicago International Film Festival for Dag och Natt.
