Wallander (Swedish TV series)
Wallander is a detective series that arises in Swedish- German co-production and plays mainly in Ystad ( southern Sweden). She ran from 2005 to 2014 and based on the character Kurt Wallander by Henning Mankell. As a template for the first episode of the first season was a Wallander novel Mankell. For most of the other episodes Mankell has written the script either by itself or worked on it.
Background
In the 32 -part international co-production took this time to Rolf Lassgård - known from former Commissioner - Wallander films - the Swedish actor Krister Henriksson, the main role of the Commissioner.
It began with the film version of Before the Frost, directed by Kjell -Åke Andersson from a screenplay by Stefan Ahnhem and Pelle Berglund. The first season with 13 films were shown from June 2006 to April 2007 at irregular intervals on German television.
In the years 2008 and 2009, the second season with another 13 episodes Wallander with Krister Henriksson emerged as Kurt Wallander. Stefan Lindman (performer: Ola Rapace ) is no longer there, because he committed Dark secrets of the first season suicide in the last episode. Wallander's daughter Linda, played by Johanna Sällström was, in the meantime also no longer visible after her actress in early 2007 took her own life. Instead Linda came for a season, the young police officer Isabelle and Pontus to the team.
The third season consists of 6 episodes and is the final season with the collaboration of Krister Henriksson .. Linda is coming on again, played by a different actress. In the last two episodes of Wallander suffering from Alzheimer's disease, but views them from the colleague secret.
