Lennart Norberg

Bengt Lennart Norberg ( born January 21, 1949 in Härnösand ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

Lennart Norberg began his career as a hockey player with the Timrå IK, for the first team, he was active from 1967 to 1979. With Timrå he first played in Division 1, the then highest Swedish league. In the 1975/76 season he joined with his team in the Elitserien newly established, had to Timrå but suffered relegation in the now second-class Division 1. In this he succeeded with his team in the 1976/77 season, the direct re-emergence, followed by renewed decline in the 1977 / 78th In the following season he missed with Timrå in the playoffs to return to the highest Swedish league. Therefore, the defender left the club and went on from 1979 to 1982 for the participants Elitserien IF Björklöven on before he finished his career at the age of 33 years.

Internationally

For Sweden, Norberg participated in the World Championships 1978, 1979 and 1981 and the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid in part. At the World Cup 1979 and the 1980 Winter Olympics he won the bronze at the 1981 World Championship silver medal with his team.
