Leonid Karev

Léonid Karev (Russian Леонид Алексеевич Карев, Leonid A. Karev, born 1969 in Moscow ) is a Russian composer, pianist and organist.

Life

Karev began his musical education at the age of seven at the Gnessin Music Academy. From 1989 he studied composition, organ and piano at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. From 1992 to 1994 he attended the master class of Jean Guillou in Zurich, deepened and completed his studies at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris with Michel Chapuis. He entered the world in concerts and festivals as a composer or artist in appearance.

In addition to his compositional work Karev is nationale de musique d' Yerres and organist at the Église Notre- Dame de l' Assomption de Passy in Paris as professor of organ at the École. Among other things, he can also be heard at the Sunday concerts in the parish church of St- Eustache de Paris.
