Leopold von Ledebur

Leopold Ernst Gerhard Freiherr von Ledebur ( born May 18, 1876 in Berlin, † August 22, 1955 on Good Bockhorn in Ruhwinkel ) was a German actor.

Life

The state actor from the family of the Barons of Ledebur was a trained lawyer and received his first appointment in 1906 at the Berlin Lustspielhaus. Since 1916, he starred in films and embodied in 1918 in his first major role in the opera adaptation of Carmen the bullfighter Escamillo.

For 35 years presented Ledebur in supporting roles mostly for respect personalities like Minister, directors, generals, police chiefs, judges, doctors and squires represent rare servants, neighbors and colleagues.
