Les Éditions de Minuit

Éditions de Minuit is called a French publishing house based in Paris. The publishing house was founded in 1941 during the German occupation of the French writers Vercors and Pierre de Lescure for the printing of pamphlets of the Resistance. Until the liberation of the city on 25 August 1944, the publisher was working underground. The first book, the Éditions de Minuit, the laid, was Vercors story The Silence of the Sea ( Le silence de la mer ), which is considered a standard work of the French Resistance today

The most famous literary school, which was located in this publishing, the Nouveau Roman. The publisher has published, among others, the works of Samuel Beckett.
