Les Misérables (1934 film)

The Damned ( original title Les Misérables ) is a 1934 French film adaptation of the novel, published Les Misérables ( French: Les Misérables ) by Victor Hugo. Harry Baur in his role as Valjean is referred to in "Movies over Matter " as the best actor of the year 1934. The film is in two parts (Part 1 Eternal fetters, Part 2 Homeless ).

The nearly five-hour black-and-white film is considered one of the best film adaptations of the novel.
