Les Trois Vallées

Les Trois Vallées is the name of a French ski resort in Savoie in the French Alps south of Moutiers and Albertville. There is a ski area between three valleys ( trois valleys ), the Vallée des Belleville, the Vallée de Méribel and the Vallée de Courchevel. Thus, the ski resorts of Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens / Orelle and Les Menuires / Saint Martin are seamlessly interconnected. With over 80 ski lifts and 600 km of slopes resulting claims to be the world 's largest ski area.

On December 29, 2013 suffered the former Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher a serious skiing accident with head injuries in Méribel.
