Levan Tskitishvili

Levan Zkitischwili (Georgian ლევან ცქიტიშვილი; born October 10, 1976 in Tbilisi, English transcription: Levan Tskitishvili ) is a Georgian football player.

Life

In 1998 he joined Dinamo Tbilisi to SC Freiburg, where he was one of many Georgian players. In his time in Freiburg it brought the midfielder to 112 Bundesliga games (7 goals). When the SC Freiburg 2005 relegation from the Bundesliga, he originally wanted to switch to Metalurh Donetsk, but then accepted an offer of VfL Wolfsburg. But after only 15 games, the contract was disbanded on 4 July 2006 by mutual agreement. In the same month he entered the service of the Greek Super League club Panionios Athens who has been trained by Ewald Lienen since 2006. At the turn of 2006/2007 he graduated at the recommendation of Shota Arveladze an unsuccessful two-week trial with AZ Alkmaar. Zkitischwili then played on for Panionios Athens and moved to the second half of the season 2008/2009 to the German second division Wehen, he left again at the end of the season.

For the Georgian national football team he has played 43 international matches ( 2 goals). (As of June 2007)

In a survey of the Georgian newspaper Msoplio Sporti he was elected in December 2006 Footballer of the Year 2006.

Zkitischwili completed an economics degree. His nickname is Zkito.
