Lew Schneider

Lew Schneider ( born July 18, 1961 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina) is an American television producer, screenwriter, actor and stand-up comedian.

Career

In the fall of 1989, Schneider began his first regular job in television as host of the Nickelodeon game show Make The Grade. His stand-up act on HBO One Night Stand was introduced in 1992. He played in two television sitcoms Wish You Were Here (1990) and Down the Shore ( 1992-93) with.

Schneider began in 1993 with the writing for television. His credits include George Wendt Show, The John Larroquette Show, and The Ugly Truth. He began writing for the U.S. sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond in his first season as well as supervising and executive producer. As part of the production team of Everybody Loves Raymond in 2003 and 2005 he was recipient of two Emmys for outstanding comedy series.

Schneider joined as Marty in the 2004 comedy Seeing Other People.

Schneider is a consulting producer for the American series Fox's dad.

Life

Schneider was born in Chapel Hill in North Carolina and grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, on. In 1979, he graduated from high school in Brookline. Then he went to the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 1983. During the time there, he got his first taste of the sketch comedy, as a member of the male music and comedy troupe The Mask and Wig Club.

Schneider married Elizabeth Abbe in 1986 and has three sons.
