Chapel Hill is a university town in the United States in the state of North Carolina with approximately 50,000 inhabitants. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ( UNC ), the oldest state-supported university in the United States. It was founded in 1789 and the city has since arisen around them.

Chapel Hill is located in southwest Orange County. Along with the neighboring cities of Raleigh and Durham, it forms a tri-city area, which is known primarily for its research capacities at several universities and Research Triangle is called.
