Tejo
Ponte da Lezíria is a haunched box girder beam bridge in Portugal. It spans the Tagus River and the Rio Sorraia between Carregado, District of Lisbon and Benavente, Santarém District.
The bridge provides the north-south traffic a dodge by the urban area of Lisbon. The building is used for three times three lanes of the A10 motorway. For easy crossing a toll of 1.15 €.
The total length of the constructed balanced cantilever prestressed concrete bridge structure is around 12 km, of which about 1700 m on the northern and 9230 to the southern bridge ramp. The main structure has a length of 972 m. The spans are twice 95 m, 127, 133 and 130 m four times.
A total of 400,000 cubic meters of concrete and 45,000 tons of steel were used. The bridge was inaugurated on July 8, 2007 by the Portuguese Prime Minister José Sócrates.
