Life Is But a Dream is an autobiographical film about the singer Beyoncé Knowles, which was performed in Germany on June 10, 2013, once in all UCI and Cinemaxxkinos. The film involves a combination of professional camera footage and private videos of Knowles.

The film is a mix of personal interviews, home videos, webcam recordings and stage performances and treated Knowles marriage to Jay -Z, her miscarriage, the pregnancy and birth of her daughter Blue Ivy, as well as their professional separation from her father and manager Matthew Knowles.

Background

In 2005, Knowles a Visual Director one who would film their lives, as well as she used her laptop camera the last two years for their private recordings.

The film had its first screened in the United States on February 16, 2013 on HBO and got the best ratings for HBO since 2004. He did not run previously in the cinema. In the United Kingdom he was also directly on TV, the premiere was on March 28, 2013 on BBC One. In Australia, however, the film on 8 May 2013 were listed in the local cinemas. In Germany the film was shown on 10 June 2013, all UCI Cinemas and Cinemax as original English edition with German subtitles.

Reception

The website Metacritic, which evaluates, among other films after a secret formula from different weighted evaluations of relevant media, gave the film 56 out of 100 points based on 14 reviews. The Entertainment Weekly criticized the film, " rather like a superior experience WOULD ". "The fact that Beyonce does not just play the main role, but also self- directed and produced, you realize the film significantly ," says the magazine further.
