Like Lovers Do ( dt, 'How lovers do ') is the second single by the German singer-songwriter Madeline Juno, from her debut album The Unknown and is part of the soundtrack of the American disaster film Pompeii, as well as at the German preselection for the Euro Vision song Contest 2014.
Emergence and Artwork
Was written the song by Madeline Juno and Dave Roth, it produced was of Patrick Benzner and Dave Roth. The single was released under the record label Polydor. Is on the black and white held Cover of Maxi -Single - to see Madeline Juno - next to the words of the artist and song title. For the first time Juno posted the cover art on January 17, 2014 Facebook.
Publication and Promotion
The first release of the digital single was held in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on 28 February 2014. Just one month earlier, on 23 January 2014 Juno released a teaser of the song in the online community of SoundCloud and finally a first music video ( Pompeii version) on February 14, 2014.
On March 13, 2014 Juno came with the piece at the German preliminary Our song for Denmark for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2014 with artists such as Oceana, Santiano and Unholy on. Since the end of February Like Lovers Do is heard during the commercial breaks of VOX, presents the show highlights for the month of March in a commercial in the VOX.
Song
The lyrics to Like Lovers Do is written entirely in English. Both the music and the lyrics were written by Madeline Juno and Dave Roth. Musically, the song moves in the field of pop music. In an interview Juno stated that this was her favorite song from their album The Unknown. Has written the piece just before the completion of their album in November 2013. Like Lovers Do is supposed to represent a new beginning and therefore is not as bleak as the previous single error. The content of the song deals with the hope after finding a new love.

Music Video
The first music video for Like Lovers Do was filmed on January 29, 2014 in the Semperoper in Dresden and celebrated its premiere on February 14, 2014. In this video there is a special version of the movie Pompeii. The video was shot in color and can be divided into two sections. Firstly, Juno is seen in a black dress, which moves through the Semper Opera House and it sings her song, for other film clips of Pompeii are seen again and again. The length of the video is 3:11 minutes.
The official music video for Like Lovers Do was also rotated on January 29, 2014 in Dresden, and celebrated its premiere on March 5, 2014. You can see Juno, the morning wake up next to her boyfriend in bed. She leaves the bed, gets dressed and leaves the apartment while her friend is sleeping. Juno walking through Dresden and leaves mentally their current relationship to reminisce. At a certain point, it notes that separation is not right and she runs back to her friend, who has woken up in the meantime and would like to go in search Junos. In the end, both meet at the door of the apartment and look at each other. The length of the video is 3:11 minutes. Directed by Carina Steinmetz.
