Linas Tadas Karosas

Linas Tadas Karosas ( b. 1964 in Vilnius, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian entrepreneur, CEO of " LTK Capital". He is the founder and owner of the largest in the Baltic States restaurant chain " Čili Holdings " and the holding company UAB " Amazing CILI Invest" (formerly UAB " Vilsarmos investicija "). The chain currently has over 100 restaurants ( Čili pica, Čili kaimas, Čili Kinija, Tokyo ). According to the magazine " Veidas " was Karosas ( with about 30 million euro assets) at No. 24 among the top 40 of the richest people in Lithuania in 2010.

Life

Karosas graduated in law from the University of Vilnius and worked 5-6 years in the prosecutor's office. Around 1993 he entered the business world. The first transactions were privatization in post-Soviet Lithuania. Since then, he has been involved in a variety of business ventures: " Mineraliniai vandenys " ( import and distribution of alcohol and tobacco), Gelvora ( security services), Sarma ( retailer of perfumes and cosmetics ), Apranga ( clothing retailer ), " Grand Casino World, " and others. His latest project is e- shopping website Pigu.lt (literally billig.lt ). It was inspired by a meeting with Jeff Bezos, founder of amazon.com.

Karosas is publicity-shy and the masses in Lithuania hardly known. Without public attention Karosas attracts media attention. It has four seat airplane " Cirrus SR22 ", which suffered a crash landing in July 2009. The media also reported that he had bought " Bugatti Veyron ", but he denied the rumors.
