Liscannor

Liscannor ( Irish: Lios Ceannúir ) is a village with about 500 inhabitants ( 2006) in County Clare, Republic of Ireland. It lies on the west coast of Ireland at the Liscannor Bay and on the R478 between Lahinch and Doolin. The famous Cliffs of Moher are about 5 km west of the village.

Liscannor is known as the birthplace of the engineer and submarine builder John Philip Holland.

The ruins of the medieval church of Kilmacreehy lie with the place.
