Liss Eriksson
Liss Eriksson ( born August 31, 1919 in Stockholm, Sweden, † 19 July 2000 ) was a Swedish sculptor and illustrator.
Life and work
Liss Eriksson is a son of the sculptor Christian Eriksson (1858-1935) and grew in Prästgårdsgata on in Södermalm, where in 1975 he opened his studio. He studied from 1939 to 1944 when Nils Sjögren and Eric burrs at the Kungliga Konsthögskolan Mejan in Stockholm. In 1947 he participated with others such as Arne Jones at the avant-garde exhibition Ung Konst ( Art Jonge ) in the gallery Färg och form. With his wife, the artist Britta Eriksson Empire he lived from 1947 to 1951 in Paris, where he was taught by the French sculptor Jean and Henri Laurens Osouf.
