  • Robert Adler: physicist and electronics engineer; over 180 patents in the U.S., best known was his Miterfindung the TV remote control, development of touch screens on the basis of SAW phenomena
  • Old Wilhelm Kruse, inventor of the Old Kruse puzzles
  • Carl Auer von Welsbach, inventor of the four chemical elements neodymium, praseodymium, ytterbium and lutetium, and as the inventor of the gas mantle light ( " Auer light " ), the metal filament lamp and of flint ( " Auermetall ") in the lighter.
