List of cities in Liberia

The list of cities in Liberia provides an overview of the development of the population of the larger cities of the West African state of Liberia.

By far the largest agglomeration in Liberia is Monrovia, with a population of 1,690,270 (as of 1 January 2008). This means that around half the country's population in the capital region focused.

Following a decision taken already in the 1960s, establishing the Liberian Government of Liberia have all places, reaching a population of over 1,000, the administrative status of a city, regardless of the infrastructure found.

The following table lists all cities with more than 2,000 inhabitants, and the results of the censuses ( VZ ) from February 1, 1974 and 21 March 2008. Listed is also the region to which the city belongs. The population figures refer to the actual city without suburban belt.
