List of Intercity-Express lines

The List of Intercity-Express lines contains all mentioned by DB Highway, currently operated Intercity-Express lines. The latest changes to the Intercity-Express network took place on 12 December 2010 timetable change. The network currently includes next three ICE Sprinter lines and relief trains 24 in the timetable specified lines.

Explanation

Current lines (2013 )

ICE - Sprinter

10-12

The lines 10, 11 and 12 all begin in Berlin Ostbahnhof. The lines 11 and 12 are condensed between Berlin and Mannheim to an hour, with only the line stops in Wolfsburg 12.

20-28

The clock sections of the lines 20, 22, and 25 all begin in Hamburg- Altona station. Unique features of this line will, however, continue to Kiel and Lübeck. Line 28 goes via Berlin and has different starting stations, Hamburg, Rostock and Stralsund:

The line 31 includes trains from Hamburg to Dortmund and Cologne to Frankfurt am Main. In contrast to the lines of forties numbers, these line runs over the left Rhine line and thus do not have the SFS Cologne - Rhine / Main.

The clock sections of the lines 41, 42, 43, 45, 47 and 49 all begin in Cologne Hauptbahnhof or main train station in Dortmund and go exclusively via the high-speed line between Cologne and Frankfurt:

Line 50 is the only east-west -ICE - line central Germany, the individual moves on Kassel partly also called mid - Germany connection.

75-79

The lines 75, 76, 78 and 79 are international lines. The lines 75 and 76 begin in Berlin Ostbahnhof and lead to Denmark; the lines 78 and 79 begin in Frankfurt Central station and in the Benelux countries:

The lines 80 to 84 are also international lines. They combine western and southern Germany with France:

The lines 90 and 91 both lead to Vienna West station and connect the Austrian capital on the one hand with Munich, on the other hand Nuremberg, Frankfurt and the Rhine -Ruhr region:

Commissioning of new lines of Halle / Leipzig -Erfurt and Erfurt- level field in 2015 respectively 2017

As part of the commissioning of the new line Erfurt-Leipzig/Halle in 2015 and the high-speed line Nuremberg -Erfurt in 2017, the German railway will organize the long distance network to some new relationships. The plan (as of 2013) is the displacement of the path of travel of the line 11 Berlin -Frankfurt -Stuttgart- Munich from Braunschweig to Erfurt. For this, a new line Berlin -Braunschweig- Kassel -Frankfurt -Wiesbaden is to be introduced. Furthermore, the line 28 Berlin-Halle/Leipzig-Nürnberg-München be conducted from 2017 completely Erfurt, where connection to and from Frankfurt will exist.
