History

The Exile has always played a paramount role for Kurdish publications. In the history of Kurdish publications, it has sometimes been writing about for decades only abroad possible. Turkey

Only since the reforms of August 2002 in Turkey Kurdish is permitted again in public life. Television and radio broadcasts are now allowed to be broadcast in Kurdish, but with a time limit. As of March 2006, regional stations allowed to transmit programs in Kurdish. However, granted by the regulatory authority for commercial broadcasting licenses RTÜK contain time limits.
