List of rivers of Nepal

The list is organized according to catchment areas from west to east; Tributaries indented under each larger river. The specified tributaries are partly to separate designations for stretches of river headwaters or longer headwaters.

The Nepali term for a large river is Nadi and is, as in English, omitted in the naming; other hand, is the name given to smaller rivers, Khola, usually part of the name.
