List of rulers of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel
The Principality of Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel was a part of the Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg principality, whose story was distinguished by numerous divisions and re- merges. Various dynasties part of the Guelphs ruled Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel until the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation in 1806. Through the Congress of Vienna was founded in 1814, the successor state of the duchy of Brunswick. The following list contains all the reigning Prince of Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel. Not only the ruling princes, but also all the princes bore the title of a Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg.
