List of rulers of the Mossi state of Yatenga

The kingdom Yatenga is one founded by the Mossi in the Niger bend in the 14th century empires.

His King, Yatenga Naaba, residence since the 18th century in Ouahigouya, but nowadays no more administrative power.

Yadega, son of Naaba Nassébiri of Ouagadougou is said to have founded Yatenga after his brother took the throne in Ouagadougou. Starting from Gourcy he enlarged his sphere, who later formed the kingdom Yatenga.

In 1895, a protectorate treaty with France was signed. Today Yatenga is part of Burkina Faso.
