Little Earthquakes is the debut album by Tori Amos. It was released in 1992 as the previous album Under The Pink with Atlantic Records ( within USA ) and WEA International (outside USA).

Genesis

Already on her first solo album Tori Amos was a co -producer (along with Eric Rosse ) appear out of 5 of the 12 tracks. Davitt Sigerson main producer was, who already was The Bangles and Olivia Newton-John produce successful. So can only be guessed then on most pieces that they were originally composed as a piano-only performance.

Some songs from the debut album have become true classics. So is the ballad " Winter" available as a single until now and songs like " Precious Things " and " Silent All These Years " were among more than a decade to almost any Tori Amos Live Concert. On the other hand disappeared " Me And A Gun " during the first years of increasingly from the live setlist.

Achievements

Little Earthquakes is the most successful album of Tori Amos with over 2 million copies sold. The album sold not only good, it also received praise from music critics.

Singles

As singles " Me And A Gun ", " Silent All These Years ," " Crucify " and "China " have been published ( produced by Ian Stanley ). As part of RAINN charity event appeared "Silent All These Years " in 1997 again.
