Liu Yifei

Liu Yifei (Chinese刘亦菲/刘亦菲, Pinyin Liu Yifei, real name Liu Ximeizi (Chinese刘 茜 美 子, pinyin Liú Xīměizǐ ), born August 25, 1987 in Wuhan, Hubei), also known as Crystal Liu, is a Chinese actress and singer.

Biography

After her parents' marriage was divorced early, lived Ximeizi as they used to be called by their first names, with her mother. On her ninth birthday she got from her mother a crystal gift they liked her so much that she henceforth called Crystal. Same time, this their passion for collecting Swarovski crystals was aroused, what is still one of her passionate hobbies.

Play-acting

When she was eleven, her mother moved with her to New York and they lived four years in the United States. In June 2002, Crystal returned to China to start an acting career in her home country. At that time she chose the name as a stage name Yifei. In September 2002, she applied for admission to the Beijing Film Academy and was one of the more than 100,000 applicants to the lucky 500 that were selected. With 14 ½ years she was the youngest student ever graduated from this Academy of Drama.

Soon after admission to the Acting Academy of Beijing, which they successfully completed in July 2006, she appeared in several films and television series with. The international breakthrough as a film actress she succeeded in the role of Sparrow alongside Jackie Chan in the US-China co-production The Forbidden Kingdom, which premiered in 2008.

In 2011 she played in Wilson Yip's remake of A Chinese Ghost Story, the role of Siu -sin, a romantic assessed demoness who for love of a man against her mistress, an old human -eating tree spirit rebels.

Singing

In August 2005 she was awarded by Sony Music Japan a production contract, after which she moved temporarily to Japan. On July 19, 2006 Sony Music released her first single titled Mayonaka no Doa. Her first music album was released on 5 September 2006 in China under the title Liu Yifei, their first album in Japan ( All My Words ) on the following day.
