Liza Hunter-Galvan

On the recommendation of legendary coach Arthur Lydiard they came in 1989 to the United States, where she received an athletic scholarship at the University of Texas at San Antonio. At university she met her future husband Ariel, with whom she settled in San Antonio, where she worked as a secondary school teacher. The couple had four children.
