Ljubomir Frčkoski

Ljubomir Frckoski ( Macedonian Љубомир Фрчкоски; born December 12, 1957 in Skopje) is a Macedonian legal scholars and politicians.

He studied law at the University of Skopje and received his doctorate in 1989 at the University of Ljubljana. He is Professor of International Law and International Relations at the University of Skopje.

Frckoski is a member of the Sojuz na Makedonija Socijaldemokratski. 1992 to 1996 he was Interior Minister of Macedonia, then to 1997, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

As a presidential candidate he was defeated in April 2009, his conservative rival candidates Đorge Ivanov; with around 19 %, he was the second-placed candidate in the first round and reached the final ballot on April 5, 2009, approximately 37% of the vote.
