The Isla Lobos de Tierra is a Peruvian island in the Pacific Ocean 7 km off the coast.

It is a 10 km long and up to 3 km wide, sandy island on a granite base, with an area of 14.3 km ². It belongs to the Distrito de Puerto Eten, one of the twenty districts in the province of Lambayeque. Among the smaller islands of Lobos de Tierra include El León and albatross.

The temperatures on the island are high. In her live birds such as pelicans, blue-footed boobies, gulls, gannets and cormorants guano, the latter two species were of great importance during the heyday of the guano mining. Already by 1863 more than 7 million tons of guano were recovered. This resource has almost completely disappeared today, some decaying buildings and facilities such as tracks evidence of the past

The island of Lobos de Tierra gets its name from its proximity to the coast - see the well located 40 km south from the mainland, 50 km away smaller island group Islas Lobos de Afuera - and the presence of sea lions. In passing whales there is also the blue whale.
