Loch Vostok

Loch Vostok is a Swedish progressive metal band from Uppsala, founded in 2000.

History

The band emerged from the breakup of the band Maya Dome. It consisted in the creation of drummer Alvaro Svanerö, bassist Erik Grandin, keyboardist Sebastian " Zeb " Okupski, guitarist Niklas Kupper and singer Teddy Möller. Together they played a few pieces. A few months later left bassist Grandin again the band and was replaced by Tomas " Tym " Jonsson. This band recorded their debut album Dark Logic under the baton of Daniel Berg beach.

It was followed by some gigs in Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands. Then keyboardist Okupski left the band and was replaced by Andreas Lindahl. Shortly after the shooting left Lindahl again the band and was replaced by Fredrik Kling Wall. This was followed by work on the album Reveal No Secrets. The band also held a tour with King Diamond. After that, the band continued to write new material and went on tour with Pyramaze. After the tour, the band recorded the album Reveal No Secrets. The album was released in 2009 on Silverwolf Productions. Following the publication hardly followed by concerts since Teddy Möller his side project FKÜ. devoted. During this time, Kupper and Svanerö parted from the band. As a replacement came drummer Lawrence " Tipsy " Dinamarca and guitarist Manuel " Mano " Lewy's the band.

After the recording of the album began Dystopium. The band also held a tour with Therion and Leprous. Bassist Jonsson had to because of back problems left the band and was replaced by Jimmy Mattsson. Shortly after the tour, guitarist Lewy's the band and was replaced by Kupper, who returned to the band.

The band recorded a video for the song Sacred Structure under the direction of Martin Gustafsson and reached an agreement with Vicisolum Productions. Dystopium was released in 2011 on the label.

The band plays a mix of fast power and progressive metal. The singing here has a Death Metal character.
