Leprous

Leprous is a Norwegian progressive metal band from Notodden, which was founded in 2001.

History

The band was founded in 2001. In the years 2004 and 2006 was followed by a demo. This could increase their awareness of the band. In August 2008, the Tall Poppy Syndrome debut album was recorded, then the band was looking for a suitable label. After a contract with Sensory Records, the album was released in May 2009.

In the same year the band released several appearances in Scandinavia. In 2010 concerts followed in Europe and the United States. Supported them and the band Therion on their tour of Europe, where they played within 30 days in 17 countries.

In 2011, the band released the second album called Bilateral with InsideOut Music, before in May 2013, the album Coal joined on the same label.

Style

The band plays classic Progressive Metal, the music is described as a mixture of the works of Devin Townsend, Opeth and Porcupine Tree.
