Loćika (Aleksinac)

Loćika (Cyrillic: Лоћика ) is a village in eastern Serbia.

Geography and population

The village lies in the Opština Aleksinac in Nišavski okrug in the east to 188 meters above sea level. Loćika had in the census of 2011 282 inhabitants, while there were 380 in 2002. After the last three population statistics, the population continues to fall.

The population of Loćika represent 99.3 % Serbian Orthodox Serbs. Three people stated an unknown origin that corresponds to 0.7 % of the population. The village consists of 136 households.

The village is situated south-west of the city Aleksinac. Near the mountain Jastrebac, who is also developed for tourism lies. The village is surrounded by forests, the largest of which Mišinac is, moreover, a creek flows through the village.

The neighboring villages of Loćika are: Dašnica, Vrćenovica, Koprivnica, Mali Drenovac Suric and Bankovac.
