Loctudy

Benodet ( Loktudi Breton ) is a commune in the Finistère department 4069 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Location

The port and beach resort located in the southwest of Brittany on the Atlantic coast. Quimper is 18 kilometers (km ) north of Brest 66 km north of Paris and 500 km to the east (in straight line ).

Economy and infrastructure

As in many parts of the Brittany coast fishing plays a big role in Benodet, however, as in many places in Europe, with a declining trend. But Benodet could offset this decline by the growing importance of tourism. Thus, besides the fishing port and a marina with 585 berths. Six sandy beaches make the place a seaside resort.
