The Lokomotiw Stadium (Bulgarian: Стадион " Локомотив " ) is a multifunctional stadium with an athletics track in Bulgaria's capital Sofia Nadezhda district.

History

The stadium was built between 1984 and 1985 and opened in the last year. The venue is the sporting home of the Bulgarian football club Lokomotiv Sofia. The club currently plays in the first division, the A Grupa. The stadium holds 22,000 spectators to 17,500 seats and 3,500 standing places. It consists of only a small part covered, individual viewers rank in the west and the covered grandstand, which runs behind the other goal in the semi-circle from the north gate on the east side to the south. The plastic seats are distributed among the ranks in the club colors of red and black. In 2000 a renovation was carried out in the stadium. The Bulgarian Cup final of the men in 2001 was held in Lokomotiw Stadium.
