Lonau (river)

Course

It arises in Lonau by the confluence of the Great and Little Lonau Lonau. Then it flows into southern ( in the meantime in südsüdwestliche ) direction through the Lonautal continue to Herzberg am Harz, where it flows after Lonauer waterfall in the Sieber.

On some maps is called ( between the place Lonau and Herzberg ) as Great Lonau the Lonau. But this contradicts the common parlance of the local population, according to the Small and the Large Lonau Lonau are the two sources of Lonau.
