Lop County

The circle Lop (洛浦县; Pinyin: Luòpǔ Xiàn; Uighur: لوپ ناھىيىسى / Lop Nahiyisi ) is a county of the district of Hotan in southern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the northwest of the People 's Republic of China. It has an area of 14,314 km ² and has 240,000 inhabitants.

The ruins of the Buddhist monastery town Rawak ( Rewake Fosi Yizhi ) and the cemetery of Shanpula ( Shanpula gumuqun ) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2001.
