Lorenzo Bernucci

Lorenzo Bernucci ( born September 15, 1979 in Sarzana ) is an Italian racing cyclist.

Bernucci in 2002 pro and drove until 2004 for the Belgian team Landbouwkrediet - Colnago (LAN). In 2005, he joined the team Fassa Bortolo (FAS ). After its dissolution in 2006, he went to the T -Mobile team.

His greatest sporting success was the victory in the sixth stage of the 2005 Tour de France from Troyes to Nancy. Among his other achievements include podiums at the Tour de Luxembourg and the Tour de Suisse in 2005. Moreover, in the U23 class, he won at the 2001 World Championships bronze medal.

On September 4, 2007 Bernucci was dismissed by the T -Mobile team, after he had been beneficial to the appetite suppressant sibutramine, which is on the list of banned substances since 2006, were tested.
