Lory Lynn " Bonnie " Bianco ( born August 19, 1963 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania ) is an American singer, songwriter and actress.

Life and work

She made her first experience in show business with her sister Holly Ann Bianco as Bianca Sisters and launched a solo career after. In the early 1980s it was used by the producer Guido & Maurizio De Angelis (also known as Oliver Onions ) discovered in Hollywood who took Bianco to Italy. From there Bianco's international career should be targeted. To the chagrin of Bianco passed the producers on a name change: Bonnie Bianco.

Their first album Bonnie Bianco appeared in 1982 in Italy. In the same year he was offered Bianco, the female lead in the TV miniseries Cenerentola '80 ( Cinderella '80 in the GDR, Cinderella '87 in the Federal Republic of Germany). The accompanying sound track created for the long-awaited breakthrough in Italy. The follow-up album Un Americana a Roma could show some Italian pieces next to English songs. Bianco presented the most songs in the very popular cabaret show Al Paradise, in which she was a regular guest. In 1985, Bianco got the female lead role in another TV mini-series ( Molly ' O).

The contract with the de Angelis brothers ran out after 1985, and Bianco went in search of a new team. Your personal manager, Sam Gino, was 1986 on Christian de Walden ( produced, inter alia, Thomas Anders and Brigitte Nielsen ), the German Hit- Recorder Team Gunther Mende and Alexander de Rouge win, which contributed two songs for Bianco's next album ( inter alia Miss You So ).

1987 Cinderella '80 aired on German TV and sparked a veritable " Bonnie Bianco hype " from. Both the soundtrack and the single Stay, a duet with Pierre Cosso, rushed quickly to the top of the German charts and stayed there for weeks. Bianco, who knew nothing of the completely surprising success with Cinderella, received in no time a recording contract with Metronome (later Universal, now Vivendi ), and the album Just Me ( in which Bonnie also first appeared in the songwriter credits) was published in May 1987, and with the single Miss You So they landed again in the top ten (highest position: No. 9). At the same time published the old record company, Teldec, the " obsolete " song material from the Italy - years, and the single My First Love from the album Un Americana a Roma or Stay managed nevertheless still at # 52 At this point, Bianco had three Top 100 singles on the charts.

Disputes with Christian de Walden and Metronomes led in late 1987 to confusion. In some reports it was mentioned that Bianco would only occur as Lory Scott in appearance. The lawsuits were settled in court. The German wind turbine Bianco was signed. She wanted to return to her real name and released her follow-up album True Love, Lory as a nod to her real name. WEA it was too risky to go immediately with Lory Bianco on the European market. The whole back and forth with their names inadvertently caused a career slump, as the album failed to match the success of the two previous and missed even the German Top 40 Only the hit single A Cry In The Night (written by Dieter Bohlen and the first pressing of the album not included) was released in May 1989 already under the name Lory " Bonnie " Bianco. The song was the theme song to the derrick episode " Cry in the Night " and reached number 41 in the German single charts. In Austria, the single reached # 1 on the charts even.

In the published 1990 album Lonely Is The Night and the associated singles Heartbreaker (written by plain man / Weber), Lonely Is The Night and Talking Eyes things had, however, clarified, and everything was published under the name Lory Bianco. But the career of Lory could not help, Lonely Is The Night was a big flop and could not even place in the Top 100 of the German album charts. This is mainly due to lack of promotion and the wrong choice of single releases were responsible. The album contained, inter alia, a cover version of Elton John 's classic " Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word " and the song " Unison ", which was published simultaneously by Celine Dion on the album of the same name.

In the 1990s there were only publications that consisted of old songs. However, in 1997, Bianco took a duet with Chris Norman on (Send A Sign To My Heart ), which was, however, not as planned released as a single, but only on the album by Norman appeared. Bianco founded in the late 1990s her own label Power Records and released there in 2001, the first of her self-penned and produced album On My Own, But Never Alone ....

On 7 December 2007 a double CD with the biggest successes, a previously unreleased tracks and Spanish sung songs appeared under the old name Bonnie Bianco by EDEL Music.

In October 2012 appeared in self-publishing their current CD "Jesus Paid It All". The CD is how to get their predecessors only used on the portal of www.cdbaby.com. Later, a sale on Amazon and other download sites should take place.
