Action

In the year 2048 the earth's surface has been flooded by global warming. In the city of New Vatican cardinal Battaglia believes that the global flood by means of the " scepter of Moses " can be reversed. Moses had the scepter used to open the Red Sea during the Exodus from Egypt.

Cardinal Battaglia contacted John Kubiak and his sons Jack and Thomas, to find the ancient magic wand. However, they are persecuted by Nicholas Filiminov because the wants to have the scepter. Together with his female assistants Cara and Giovanna, Jack's ex-girlfriend, he is also looking after the scepter. Nicholas has his own plans and wants power over the earth. Soon Giovanna recognize, however, that Nicholas is ruthless and as also Jack's father James is killed, she changes sides and helps the brothers in the search. Together they can overpower Nicholas Filiminov and find a way to redeem mankind by the floods. But since they are stopped by the insane Cardinal Giacopetti, as this sees the flood as God's punishment for the sins of mankind. At the last minute Jack can defeat him and activates the lowering of the sea. The film ends with the team that has dinner together and looks into his future.

Production

The film was made in collaboration with ProSieben, Syfy and Tandem Communications for six million dollars. The film was announced in 2006, but was only in April 2008.

The German synchronization was done at PPA Film GmbH Pierre Peters - Arnolds in Munich.

Publication

The world premiere of the film took place on 31 October 2008 on ProSieben and peaked at doing 2.73 million people, of whom 1.87 million Relevant advertising, which led to 17.4 percent. In the U.S., the film was shown on 22 November 2008, Syfy.

The DVD was released in Germany on November 13, 2008. In the U.S., the film was released on 26 January 2010 on DVD.
