Lothar Warneke

Lothar Warneke ( born September 15, 1936 in Leipzig, † June 5, 2005 in Potsdam ) was a German film director and screenwriter.

Life

Born the son of a commercial employees in Leipzig, Lothar Warneke studied theology from 1954 to 1959 at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig. Then the vicar resigned from the church. From 1960 to 1964 Warneke studied directing at the former German Film Academy in Potsdam- Babelsberg.
