Louis Alphonse, Duke of Anjou

Louis Alphonse Victor Emmanuel Gonzalve Marc de Bourbon, duc d' Anjou - (Spanish Luis Alfonso Gonzalo Víctor Manuel Marco de Borbón y Martínez- Bordiú, duque de Anjou, born April 25, 1974 in Madrid) is since January 30, 1989 the head of the French branch of the House of Bourbon.

Life

Louis is the second son of Alfonso Duke of Anjou and Cádiz (1936-1989) and his wife María del Carmen Martínez- Bordiú y Franco, granddaughter of the Spanish dictator Francisco Franco. His parents' marriage was annulled in 1982 and divorced in 1986. On February 7, died in 1984, his older brother, Francisco (* 1972), in a car accident, and his father came on 30 January 1989 in a skiing accident in Colorado killed. Louis Alphonse studied in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania economics and worked for several years at BNP Paribas in Madrid. On November 6, 2004 Louis Alphonse married in La Romana, the Venezuelan María Margarita Vargas Santaella. They live since 2005 in Venezuela, where he works on the bank Banco Occidental de Descuento. On 5 March 2007 their daughter Eugenia was born in Miami, Florida. She was baptized on 3 June 2007. Were on May 28, 2010 in New York, the twin sons of Louis, Duke of Burgundy, and Alphonse, Duke of Berry, was born.
