Louis Antoine François Baillon

Louis Antoine François Baillon ( born January 20, 1778 in Montreuil, † December 3, 1851 in Abbeville ) was a French zoologist.

Like his father Baillon dealt with natural history and collected for the Muséum national d' histoire naturelle in Paris a number of zoological specimens. He was hired 1798/99 there as a curator and assistant zoologist René Maugé († 1802). He was also the author of the Catalogue des mammifères, oiseaux, reptiles, poissons et Mollusques testacés Observes marins dans l' arrondissement d' Abbeville.
