Louis Armand I, Prince of Conti

Louis Armand I de Bourbon, prince de Conti ( born April 4, 1661 Paris, † November 9, 1685 in Fontainebleau ) was the son of Armand de Bourbon and his wife Anna Maria Martinozzi.

Louis Armand married 1680 to Marie Anne de Bourbon, called Mademoiselle de Blois, legitimized daughter of Louis XIV and Louise de La Vallière. It was the first compound of a prince of the blood with a " bastard" of the king.

He fought meritorious in Flanders in 1683 during the War of the king of Holland, then on the part of the Austrians in the victory against the Turks at Gran Because of his criticism of the king and his relationship with the Marquise de Montespan, in letters to his brother, he was for a short time on the farm banished.

After a dissolute life, he died childless of smallpox. When Prince of Conti was succeeded by his brother François Louis de Bourbon.
