Louis Becker

Louis Becker (born 1962 ) is a Danish architect and the 'International Design Director ' by Henning Larsen Architects. Louis Becker joined the company in 1989, Henning Larsen Architects in and is responsible for international design projects outside of Scandinavia, especially in German-speaking countries. So he was partly responsible for the new "Mirror Head Quarter " in Hamburg and shares the responsibility for the currently emerging Siemens headquarters in Munich.

Since 1998 he has been on the management team and he has been a partner in 2003. Louis Becker has extensive international experience, particularly in the cultural and commercial buildings and master plans. He is responsible for proposals in architectural competitions as well as the architecture and management follow-up during the subsequent design. He plays a leading role in complex architecture and the collaboration processes in which many people are involved. His vast experience with modern sustainable construction, both conceptually and in detail have made him a sought-after international lecturer. He frequently lectures on sustainable architecture and architectural cultural encounters. He was expert in several international competitions and is a member of a number of Leitgruppen and advisory boards.

In 2008 he was appointed assistant professor of the Department of Architecture and Design at Aalborg Universitetscenter. In 2011 he was the Eckerberg Medal of the Academic Board, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, awarded as a recognition for his achievements in the notice of Danish architecture in the world.
