Louis Charles Auguste Steinheil

Louis Charles Auguste Steinheil (* July 26, 1814 in Strasbourg, † May 16, 1885 in Paris ) is a French painter.

Steinheil studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux -arts de Paris, before it was first exhibited in Paris at the Salon de 1836. He worked with Viollet -le- Duc and participated in the restoration of Notre- Dame de Paris cathedral. He has also operated as a fresco painter.
