Louis Cozolino

Louis John Cozolino ( born April 16, 1953 in New York City ) is an American clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and holds a chair at Pepperdine University in California.

Cozolino has degrees in theology and philosophy from Harvard University and the State University of New York and received his doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles ( UCLA). Cozolino published numerous articles and four books, all published by WW Norton & Company City in New York.

He conducts research on schizophrenia, child abuse and the long-term effects of stress, and he is intensely concerned with the neurosciences and their effect on and its significance for psychotherapy.

In addition to his teaching and research activity causes Louis Cozolino also a private practice in Beverly Hills.
